There are basically two ways, from Windows using the Control Panel, and from the setup program itself. You can read our article on how to remove those types of add-ins.
Note that we are talking about traditional installed desktop add-ins (the kind where you have to download a setup program), not the “modern” style Office 365 add-ins.
To keep a clean system, or sometimes to install new versions of add-ins, it is sometimes necessary to uninstall any unneeded Outlook add-ins.
